Alternatives to legacy media for starters, such as Jacobin, Reclaim the Net, Mother Jones, Medium, Illusion of More, Vox, VoxIndie.org, Creative Future, etc
Whoever has been brave enough to take on Big Tech. “Your enemies’ enemies are your friends.”
Frankly, I would contact/post comments on popular podcaster videos to help spread the word. Ex: More people watch Joe Rogan (by the millions) than legacy media like CNN. Check out Tom Bilyeu, Marcus Aubrey, Lex Fridman, Steven Bartlett.. some popular podcasters with an avid following.
My favorite: Russell Brand’s team reads EVERY SINGLE COMMENT. They get future news story ideas from audience feedback. That’s why they covered the Canadian Trucker protest in January 2022 when mainstream media was ignoring it.
I know about the accusations against him too - if you follow the timing of it with what he was covering, you’ll see why.
I’d also recommend that you establish a presence on Rumble because a lot of people who are censored on YouTube have migrated there.
Incidentally, if you think Joe Rogan & Russell Brand are ignored by the press, that’s wrong. Media outlets like “The Hill” and “Hill Rising” report on what these podcasters’ work. American journalists also cite Reddit A LOT! I’d post on Reddit to get word out there.
Nowadays, the American public is fragmented in their media consumption. So go where your target audience hangs out.
Thanks. I do realize the impact of those voices. I don’t have a good sense for the audience in those places though. I figured Jacobin was left and Rumble altRight, more or less
Maybe take a page out of Big Tech’s playbook. Don’t worry about political affiliation when broadcasting your message. Blitz-scale your coherent arguments to as large an audience as possible without curating. In that way, you can benefit from the collective strength of IP advocates from disparate backgrounds and interests.
Excellent article - especially “Regulatory Entrepreneurship” 4-step process followed by Uber and AirBNB:
1) Break the law
2) Blitzscale at a loss
3) Become “too big to ban”
4) Lobby regulators via users
Powerful insights - your articles should get more traction in the press.
All ears for suggested press

True. Thanks again
